Joey Bahng, MD (They/Them/Their)
Perelman SOM U of Penn

 Dr. Bahng received their Bachelor of Arts from NYU in Environmental Studies and Italian before completing a post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Johns Hopkins University. They earned their medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine where they were leadership for the LGBT People in Medicine + Allies student group, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and the Trauma Chaplain Shadowing program. Their medical interests include access to care for transgender patients, preterm labor/birth, and breast diseases. In their free time, Dr. Bahng is an avid cook/baker, a dancer with professional aspirations, and a video game enthusiast.

Brian Druyan, MD
Lewis Katz SOM Temple

 Dr. Druyan received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. After completing his undergraduate studies, he returned home to New York to join the Clinical and Translational Science Center at Weill Cornell Medical College where he worked in clinical research. He later left New York for Philadelphia where he completed his post baccalaureate pre-medical studies and medical school at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. His clinical interests include exploring fertility options for transgender men and cardiovascular disease in pregnancy. In his spare time he enjoys studying languages, cycling, cooking, and exploring the city.

Brooke Hyman, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Maryland

 Dr. Hyman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. She then moved to Baltimore to earn her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is very excited to move to Atlanta! Outside of work, she loves to travel, hike, and spend time with her family and friends.

Natalie Levey, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University

I received my bachelor of science in biology and psychology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia. I then spent time in Charleston, SC doing transplant immunology research at the Medical University of South Carolina. I then came home to Atlanta, GA and received my medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. My clinical interests include general ob/gyn and high risk obstetrics. Outside of medicine my interests include cheering on the Georgia bulldawgs, working out, exploring new restaurants and the beltline.

Rachel McDiehl, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University

 Rachel McDiehl graduated from Occidental College with a major in Diplomacy and World Affairs and a minor in Music, and completed a post-baccalaureate premed program at Johns Hopkins. She worked as the patient care coordinator at a free clinic Baltimore before continue her studies at Emory University School of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. McDiehl moved to Kampala, Uganda as a research fellow, where she helped roll out an educational prenatal text messaging program, studied risk factors for stillbirth, and analyzed the relationship between contraceptions and breastfeeding. In her free time, she enjoys going to yoga and pilates, working on DIY projects at home, and hanging out in Grant Park with her family.

Lauren Rouleau, MD, PhD (She/Her/Hers)
Sidney Kimmel Thomas Jefferson University

 Dr. Rouleau received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College. She then spent 3 years working in the pharmaceutical industry before entering the combined MD,PhD program at Thomas Jefferson University. Her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology involved uncovering the mechanism of action of various chemotherapeutic combinations in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma, with a specific focus on mitochondria and oxidative stress. Her clinical interests include reproductive endocrinology and infertility and fertility preservation for cancer patients. Outside of medicine she enjoys cooking, gardening, biking, and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to exploring the Atlanta area with her husband and two young sons.

Nicole St. Omer Roy, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Boston University

 Dr. St. Omer Roy graduated from Harvard University with an degree in chemistry. Before medical school, she worked for a health non-profit focused on ameliorating social determinants of health. She earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine, where she served as a student board member for the advocacy training program, a 4-year longitudinal program that provides students with the knowledge and skills to serve as effective physician advocates. She is passionate about health equity and medical education.

Daniella Spielman, MD (She/her/hers)
Rutgers University

 Dr. Spielman was born and raised in New York City, spent her high school years in Nashville, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Anthropology. She then earned her Master of Biomedical Science and her medical degree from Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, where she graduated with Distinction in Research. Her work focused on using ultrasound measured vaginal thickness to determine menopausal status. Dr. Spielman is interested in reproductive endocrinology, particularly polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and dominating her family fantasy football league.

Ashley Williams, MD (She/Her/Hers)
MCG at Augusta

Dr. Williams received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia with double majors in biology and health promotion. Before medical school, she worked as a community health advocate at a nonprofit organization in rural Alabama. Dr. Williams received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she focused her extracurricular efforts in student-facilitated clinics for uninsured and under-insured patients. Her research and clinical interests include inequities in the healthcare system and access to care. Outside the hospital, she loves being outdoors in the Atlanta sunshine and cooking with friends and family.

Haben Debessai, MD (She/her/hers)
Michigan State University

 Dr. Debessai received her Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience with a minor in Gender and Health at the University of Michigan. Shortly following graduation, she began a year of volunteering as a CNA with AmeriCorp in the city of Chicago at a site called Misericordia. She then received her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Her passions are in community involvement/activism, academic mentorship in medicine, healthcare in underserved populations, as well as women's health policy work. She is also interested in global health as it relates to maternal health and reproductive justice. She enjoys yoga, hiking, reading, and watching her favorite shows on Netflix with her friends and family in her spare time.

Daniela Diego, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Miami

 Originally from Miami, Dr. Diego received her BA in dance and psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She returned to Miami to attend medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she led projects focused on improving LGBTQ competency amongst medical students and physicians, as well as patient advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys breakfast food, baking, and spoiling her two cats, Mila and Ellie.

Stephanie Figueira, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Florida State University

Dr. Figueira was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and immigrated to Boca Raton, Florida at age twelve. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida State University where she spent two years in a lab studying the Epstein-Barr virus and DNA replication. She then remained in the city of Tallahassee, where she went on to receive her medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine (go Noles!). Her interests include reproductive biology, oncofertility, patient advocacy, and academic medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Figueira loves to hike, bike, travel, as well as exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.

Alexandra Forrest, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Drexel University College of Medicine

Dr. Forrest graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in biology and a minor in psychology. She then went on to earn her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. While in medical school, she engaged in clinical research related to infant mortality and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV prevention. Her current interests lie in health disparities and medical education. In her free time, Dr. Forrest enjoys trying new restaurants (she is eager to find the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta), reading, and working out.

Gia Garrett, MD (She/Her/Hers)
George Washington University

Dr. Garrett graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology. Before medical school, she worked for a community and mental health nonprofit organization in rural Alabama. She earned her medical degree from George Washington University, where she worked with the ACOG Teen Pregnancy Prevention Project and the student-run free clinic for uninsured patients. Her research interests include racial and ethnic disparities in women's health and HIV prevention. She is very excited to return home to Atlanta, and enjoys going to concerts, working out, and playing the violin in her free time.

Alisha Kramer, MD, MSc (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University

Dr. Kramer was born and raised in Atlanta and graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology of Global Health. She then worked as a Program Manager and Research Assistant in global health policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She earned her medical degree from Emory University, as well as an MSc in health policy from the London School of Economics. Outside of the hospital, she loves to stay active, read, write, cook, and spend time with family and friends.

Damilola Olatunji, MD, MS (She/Her/Hers)
Ohio State University

Dr. Olatunji was born in Nigeria but spent her middle and high school years in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brown University, a Master of Science degree in Physiology from Georgetown University, and her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. As a medical student, Dr. Olatunji was actively involved in The Student National Medical Association and served in leadership roles on the chapter, regional, and national levels. Her interests include medical education, healthcare disparities and social determinants of health, and being a voice for those unheard and underserved.

Nazokat Usmanova, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Florida

Dr. Usmanova was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and immigrated to Orlando, Florida at age ten. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Psychology as well as her Medical Degree from the University of Florida. Go Gators! During her undergraduate years, she completed the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program for underrepresented minorities in healthcare and now serves as a peer mentor for high school and undergraduate students interested in the health professions. In medical school, she organized and co-led the student run medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic, served the local disadvantaged community through a medical student-staffed free health care clinic and completed research in adolescent gynecology. Her clinical interests include, preventing unwanted pregnancies in the adolescent population, adolescent use of contraception, high-risk obstetrics, and fetal intervention. Outside the hospital, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially over good food, dancing, traveling, and learning about different cultures.

Caroline Wentworth, MD, MPH (she/her/hers)
Washington University in St. Louis

Dr. Wentworth received her Bachelor's in Science in Psychology from Yale University. She then attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated with both her medical degree and her Master's in Public Health in 2019. While in medical school, Dr. Wentworth served as chapter president for Medical Students for Choice, taught sex education at local public schools, and acted in and directed the campus musical. Her professional interests focus on the intersection between gynecology and public health, including family planning and gynecologic care for adolescents. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the Washington Nationals, going to the theater, playing volleyball, and dancing bachata.

Cynthia Abam, MD,(She/Her/Hers)
Indiana University

 Dr Abam was born in Cameroon, West Africa and immigrated to Anchorage Alaska at age 15. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She then worked as a laboratory supervisor in clinical chemistry, microbiology and transfusion services at the Mayo clinic in Minnesota. She earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, received the 2020 William M Plater Civic Medallion and completed a concurrent 2 year fellowship as a 2020 Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Scholar. As a medical student Dr. Abam was actively involved in the IUSM Student-run free clinic, the Student national medical Association, Indiana State medical Association and served in leadership roles at her local the chapters. Her interests include global health, social determinants of health, advocacy and healthcare disparities. Outside of the hospital, She enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing, traveling, cooking, rock climbing, working out and doing yoga.

Raina Advani, MD, (She/Her/Hers)
University of Michigan

 Dr. Advani was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated from UC Berkeley with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Sociology. While in college, she provided mental health counseling to undergraduate students and focused on expanding mental health resources for her community. She then moved to New York to pursue the post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Columbia University before matriculating to medical school at the University of Michigan. While in medical school, Dr. Advani led a mentorship program for high school students from underrepresented backgrounds and was an advocate for diversity in medicine. She also pursued research in adolescent contraceptive uptake, perinatal depression, and contraceptive counseling in Africa. Her clinical and research interests include high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, perinatal mental health, patient safety/quality improvement, and medical education. Outside of the hospital, she loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, explore food scenes, dance, attend concerts, and take spin and Pilates classes!

Allison Bosch, MD, (She/Her/Hers)
University of Virginia School of Medicine

Dr. Bosch received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Dartmouth College before completing a pre-medical post-baccalaureate program at Johns Hopkins University. After working in clinical research for a year at the Sickle Cell Center for Adults at Hopkins, she returned to her home state to attend medical school at the University of Virginia. Her clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics, narrative medicine, family planning, and trauma-informed care. In her spare time, she loves running, reading, traveling, and trying spicy food.

Anisha Chada, MD, (She/Her/Hers)
Virginia Tech Carilion

Originally from Minneapolis, Dr. Chada received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Olaf College. She then earned her medical degree from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine where she engaged in translational research related to vascular remodeling in preeclampsia and was active in medical student government. Her professional interests include expanding access and knowledge about contraceptive options, family planning and medical education. Outside the hospital, she loves to travel, spend time with friends and family over food, and hang out with her dog, Luna.

Emily Chu, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Keck School of Medicine – University of Southern California

Dr. Chu graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology & Society and a minor in Global Health. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where she developed interventions to reduce pap smear insufficiency in a primary care clinic. During medical school, she also served on student government and as a member of the Admissions Committee. In her free time, she enjoys heated yoga, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants.

Dr. Gao was born and raised in New York City. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health, and Society from Cornell University. She then received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medicine. Her passions include patient advocacy work, medical education, and public health. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys running, DIY projects, and visiting museums.

Natalie Poliektov, DO (She/Her/Hers)

Dr. Poliektov received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado Boulder in Integrative Physiology and Biochemistry. She also completed a Master of Science at the University of Colorado Boulder in Integrative Physiology where she studied interventions to prevent the onset of age-related cardiovascular disease. Dr. Poliektov earned her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated with Honors. Her interests include medical education and high-risk obstetrics. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her two children, husband, and dog; trying new restaurants; and exploring the outdoors.

Caroline Reed, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University

Dr. Reed completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, where she studied history and biology. She remained in Charlottesville after graduation and was involved in research studying cancer immunology and immunotherapy. She moved back to her hometown of Atlanta to complete medical school at Emory University. Her professional interests include the intersection of psychiatry and obstetrics, infertility, and medical education. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys catching up on Netflix, exploring new restaurants with family and friends, and traveling to oyster farms around the country.

Emily Trautner, MD (she/her/hers)

Dr. Trautner born and raised in California but wandered over the east coast to complete her BA in Economics at Princeton where she also competed in swimming. She then spent three years working in Uganda and Kenya in development and global health. She attended medical school at Emory during which she also completed a Master's of Science in Health Policy at the London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys her daily bike commute despite sub-optimal Atlanta bike lanes, dancing to Afrobeats, jazz night at the High Museum, and amazing BBQ (and any food).

Sehar Ali, MD (She/Her/Hers)

Dr. Ali graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a minor in Spanish. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she served in a student-facilitated clinic for uninsured and underinsured patients within the LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Ali is passionate about reproductive justice, health equity, and medical education. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys singing, traveling, quoting The Office, and spending time with friends and family!

Rebecca Garland Almquist, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Almquist was born and raised in Charlotte, NC and graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then worked in clinical research for a year with the Genitourinary Oncology group at the Duke Cancer Institute. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where she engaged in research aiming to better understand and reduce barriers to accessing infertility treatments. Her professional interests include access to assisted reproductive technologies, high risk obstetrics, family planning, and medical education. Outside of medicine, Dr. Almquist enjoys exploring Atlanta restaurants, taking Peloton classes, cooking with friends, and spending time with her family.

Isabella Ciuffetelli Alamo, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Texas Medical School at Houston

Dr. Ciuffetelli was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela in an Italian-Venezuelan household. She earned her BA in Public Health Studies at Johns Hopkins University, where she was actively engaged with Baltimore's Hispanic community as a Health Leads volunteer. After completing her undergraduate studies, Dr. Ciuffetelli worked as a health policy researcher and project manager at Mathematica in Washington DC. She earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School at UT Houston, where she was part of the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship Program.

Dr. Ciuffetellli is passionate about improving access to healthcare and addressing healthcare disparities among underserved communities, especially Hispanic immigrants. Her research interests include high-risk pregnancies, health systems, and quality improvement. In her free time, she enjoys Peloton cycling, traveling, making pasta with her family, cheering on the Houston Astros, and reading about current affairs.

Alexandra (Ali) Herweck, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Miami

Originally from Riverside, California, Dr. Herweck attended the University of San Diego where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with minors in biology and chemistry. Following her undergraduate education, she worked at Berkshire Hathaway in the Division of Workers' Compensation before completing an integrated MD/MPH program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her research and clinical interests have included preventive medicine, health equity, and global health. In her free time, you can find her outdoors, traveling to a new place, or trying new cuisine.

Taylore King, MD (She/Her/Hers)
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Dr. King is originally from Southern California and earned a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University while also competing on the swim team. She attended medical school at UT Southwestern where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and obtained an M.D. with Distinction in Global Health. As a medical student, she co-founded an interdisciplinary medical service trip to rural Guatemala, assisted in the creation of UT Southwestern's curriculum addressing healthcare disparities, and served as the 2020 ACOG District XI Medical Student Representative. Her professional interests include global health, social determinants of health, advocacy, and women's health education. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, and park excursions with her two dogs.

Priyanka Mehta, MD, MPH (She/Her/Hers)
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Dr. Mehta was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As a Rice-UT Public Health Scholar, she pursued an MPH in Epidemiology and Global Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health and managed a prenatal care program for patients with HIV. Dr. Mehta then received her MD from UT Southwestern Medical School, where she served as President of Medical Students for Choice. While in medical school, she also worked in Washington, DC as an Archer Graduate Fellow in Public Policy and conducted cervical cancer research in Botswana. She is especially passionate about addressing disparities in maternal health and expanding reproductive rights, both at home and abroad. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys singing, cooking, grocery shopping, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.

Jessica Preslar, MD
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Preslar was born and raised on the coast of South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Emory University with a minor in Global Health. She then went on to complete her MD and PhD (in Epidemiology) at Emory University. Her PhD research focused on measuring access to care in maternal and child mortality surveillance systems, and she lived in Sierra Leone for a year as part of this work. She is passionate about maternal outcomes, high risk obstetrics, global/rural health, and social and reproductive justice. Outside of the hospital she enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, cycling, and spending time with her friends and her two pups.

Kelsey Roof, MD (She/Her/Hers)
Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Roof was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Georgia Tech. She went on to receive her medical degree from Emory University where she discovered her passion for LGBTQ+ reproductive advocacy and engaged in research evaluating risk factors for poor follow up for abnormal pap smears in pregnant women. Her professional interests include LGBTQ+ healthcare, infertility and medical education. In her spare time, she enjoys watching and playing soccer, eating street tacos and spending time outdoors.

Nelly Weledji, MD, MPH (She/Her/Hers)
University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

Dr. Weledji was born and raised in Kansas, the first daughter of two resilient Cameroonian immigrants. She received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Neuroscience from Brown University and both her master's and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. As a medical student she was involved in research, the SNMA pipeline programs, and a hot-spotting initiative with the Refugee Community Partnership founded by one of her classmates. Her professional interest includes optimizing the health of pregnant patients, eliminating reproductive health disparities, global health, advocacy, & mentorship. She is a former collegiate athlete and member of the Cameroon National Basketball team, but she now spends her free time hanging with family and friends, watching anime, and eating good food.
